Vistex CEO dies at Ramoji in Hyderabad
The accident occurred at a two-day celebration of the company’s silver jubilee.

Indian-origin chief executive officer (CEO) of US-based Vistex Asia, Sanjay Shah, passed away in an accident at the company's silver jubilee celebrations at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
According to the police, Singh succumbed to injuries and another official suffered serious injuries in the accident, a report by the Hindustan Times stated.
Vistex staff were accommodated at Ramoji Film City for the two-day celebration of its silver jubilee on January 19, 2024.
As part of the celebration, Shah and his colleague, Raju Datla, president of Vistex, entered an iron cage that was set to be lowered from a height. However, an accident occurred when the iron chain supporting the cage broke and both the officials fell.
"Shah and Raju being lowered from the cage onto the dais was a planned event to kickstart the celebrations.” police official D Karunakar Reddy, told Times of India. "Suddenly, one of the two wires attached to the cage snapped. Both plunged more than 15 feet and landed on the concrete dais. This caused multiple injuries."
A case has been registered against the Film City event management authorities.
In his role as the CEO, Shah had established the Vistex Foundation and the Vistex Institute for Executive Learning and Research at Lehigh University. The tech entrepreneur hailed from Mumbai, India. Raju Datla, who worked at Vistex since 2000, played a key role in expanding the company's Solution Delivery capabilities.
Meanwhile, Vistex is a revenue management solutions and service provider, based in Illinois. The company has over 20 global offices, employing 2,000 employees, serving brands including GM, Barilla, and Bayer.
