Major League Cricket (MLC) has secured an exclusive broadcast partnership with Viacom 18’s sports network to broadcast the game in India. The tournament beginning on July 13, will see the Texas Super Kings take on the Los Angeles Knight Riders at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, TX.
Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise owners have invested in four of the league’s six teams, including MI New York (the five-time IPL champion Mumbai Indians), the LA Knight Riders (the two-time IPL champion Kolkata Knight Riders), the Texas Super Kings (the five-time IPL champion Chennai Super Kings), and the Seattle Orcas (the co-owner of the Delhi Capitals, GMR Group).
As per the agreement, the matches will be live streamed on the JioCinema app as well as Sports18 channel on television. Commenting on the association, Viacom18 sports head of strategy, partnerships & acquisitions Hursh Shrivastava said, “Indian viewers love T20 cricket, and we expect them to enjoy the action from the inaugural edition of the league across JioCinema and Sports18.”

Top foreign talent will compete against America's greatest players for the Los Angeles Knight Riders, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings, and Washington Freedom in the MLC. The first season will be contested in a round-robin style, with the top four teams participating in a series of playoff games and a championship game on July 30 to determine the winner.
