A Memorial Day and veganism event took place on May.26 at the Param Adult Day Care Center in Clifton, New Jersey. It was organized by World Vegan Vision and Param Wellness CTR, aiming to celebrate health and wellness for senior citizens.
The event brought together guests interested in embracing a holistic approach to health.
Attendees were treated to a screening of the movie "Maa Ka Dudh” which shed light on the benefits of veganism and its positive impact on health. Alongside the movie screening, guests were offered free Ayurvedic pulse check-ups. This provided them with an opportunity to assess their health from an Ayurvedic perspective, emphasizing the importance of holistic practices.
The event kicked off with stirring renditions of the American and Indian national anthems performed by Aayushman Jani and Umesh Patel. Throughout the gathering, several prominent figures within the Indian-American community took the stage to share their perspectives and insights.
Notably, 94-year-old HK Shah, the founder of World Vegan Vision, captivated the audience with his personal journey and profound wisdom on the benefits of veganism.
Additionally, Vipul Amin from Param Adult Care Center emphasized the importance of Ayurveda and veganism in fostering holistic well-being.
Mahendra Shah and Bharat Rana, senior organization presidents, discussed their associations and emphasized the significance of health and vegan lifestyle choices. Dr Shrenik Shah, past president of World Vegan Vision, explored the positive impacts of veganism on spirituality, mental health, and overall well-being. Mayuri Patel, secretary of the Senior Association at Param Adult Day Care Center, expressed gratitude and informed the audience about the association's activities.
The event also featured various activities to entertain the attendees. Renowned Bollywood playback singer Umesh Patel entertained the guests with a musical performance, contributing to the festive ambiance. Additionally, Viprita Bhatt conducted a rejuvenating Yoga session, preparing participants for the upcoming International Day of Yoga and engaging them in wellness practices.
The culinary experience was a highlight, featuring delicious vegan appetizers and lunch that delighted all guests. The event, meticulously organized by Nitin Vyas, encompassed coordination, music, food, and venue arrangements, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone in attendance.
