The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services(USCIS) announced that they have selected a sufficient number of registrations to reach the regular H1-B visa cap in the second round.
This comes after the agency recently announced the necessity to select additional registrations for unique beneficiaries to meet the fiscal year 2025 H-1B regular cap numerical allocation.
USCIS stated that all selected registrations from the second round have been notified that they are eligible to file an H-1B cap-subject petition for the beneficiary named in the selected registration.
Only petitioners with selected registrations are permitted to file H-1B cap-subject petitions for FY 2025, and solely for the beneficiary specified in the selected registration notice, it said in a news release.
USCIS did not conduct a second selection for the advanced degree exemption (the master’s cap) because an adequate number of master's cap registrations had already been selected and enough petitions were received to meet the master's cap numerical allocation.
An H-1B cap-subject petition must be accurately filed at the correct location or online at my.uscis.gov within the specified filing period on the selection notice. The filing period for the H-1B cap-subject petition will be at least 90 days.
