US Congressman alleges USAID funded efforts to influence Indian polls against Modi

Early this month, US President Donald Trump alleged that USAID funded USD21 million in India for voter turnout, which, in one of his remarks, he said was against his friend Modi.

Washington, Feb. 28: A top American lawmaker has alleged that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) funded efforts to influence elections in India against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, a former USAID official has claimed that the agency has been financing radical NGOs worldwide that oppose capitalism, democracy, NATO, and Christianity.
