University of Southampton to open campus in Delhi in August 2025

The University of Southampton and Oxford International Education Group (OIEG) are launching their first international campus in India as part of a public-private partnership under India’s New Education Policy (NEP).

Delhi becomes the first Indian campus for the University of Southampton. Located in Gurugram, it is set to open in August 2025 and offer four undergraduate and two graduate programs. Courses will be taught by both local and international faculty, ensuring high standards of learning and career readiness.

Ranked among the world’s top 100 universities, it has partnered with Oxford International Education Group (OIEG) to launch its first international campus in India. This initiative marks a historic public-private partnership under India’s New Education Policy (NEP), aimed at delivering world-class education within the country.

Southampton’s Delhi campus offers a transformative education that combines research and practical applications. Students will earn a degree from a top 100 university and gain essential skills through our Successful Futures program, with support for work experience, internships, and mentoring. The students will also get to connect with a global alumni network of over 1,500 Indian graduates.

OIEG, as the university’s key operational partner, will lead the investment and provide professional services to establish the campus. The collaboration reflects a major commitment by both the university and OIEG toward expanding access to international education and fostering innovation in India.
