The University of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, has introduced its International Excellence Scholarship for 2025, offering up to 500 awards to outstanding international students, including Indian students who are pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees.
This initiative is designed to support high-achieving international students applying for taught master’s courses starting in 2025.
The scholarship provides financial assistance in the form of a fee reduction, with awards ranging from 10 percent, 25 percent, or 50 percent of tuition fees.
To be eligible, applicants must be classified as international students for fee purposes and have applied for a qualifying master’s course. The applicant should also be self-funding or partially funded and demonstrate strong academic performance, with a predicted or achieved minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a 2:1 (hons) or equivalent.
In addition to academic qualifications, applicants are expected to showcase excellent professional and personal skills, which can be evidenced through work experience or extracurricular activities.
The application deadlines vary depending on the applicant’s location. Students from mainland China must submit their applications by Feb. 28, while all other international applicants have until May. 16.
Applicants from mainland China will receive their application outcome by March 28. For other international students, the results will be communicated by June. 13.
To apply for the scholarship, students must first apply for their master’s course and then complete the scholarship application form. Selected students will need to accept the scholarship offer within the timeframe mentioned in their scholarship letter.
