Twista, a renowned rap singer, collaborated with a budding Indian metal artist Seraphina Sanan for a rap/metal fusion track called "Nothing.” Released by Universal Music, the music video, produced by Twin Voyage Production, was shot against the backdrop of Chicago.
The Chicago-born turbo rapper, known for his trailblazing contributions to the rap scene, has showcased his versatility with soulful melodies to Grammy-nominated blues. His musical journey has been one of constant experimentation and boundary-pushing.
On the other end of the spectrum, Sanan, at just 15 years old, has demonstrated a flair for songwriting and production. Her earlier works included a pop rock and arena-rock vibe, but her collaboration with Twista displays her ability to seamlessly transition across genres.
According to a release, the collaboration was a transformative experience for both artists. Sanan was inspired by her Indian heritage to address the potent themes in the song.
Meanwhile, Twista emphasized the significance of supporting young talent and the value of cross-generational collaboration.
