Ohio-based engineered motion and industrial bearings manufacturing firm, The Timken Company, has appointed Indian-American tech leader Tarak Mehta as its new president and CEO.
Mehta, who also elected to the company's board of directors, succeeds Richard G. Kyle, who will move into an advisory role until his retirement in February 2025.
The Indian American brings 26 years of experience from ABB, where he served on the group executive committee and led its motion business. He is recognized for his strategic leadership and operational excellence.

Mehta received his bachelors in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth school of Business.
