The Future - Today & Tomorrow, a newly established Political Action Committee (PAC) announced its endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States and launched a campaign to empower women of color in politics.

In a statement on July 23, the Super PAC lauded Harris’ trailblazing career as the first African American and Asian American female Vice President, who previously served as California’s first female Attorney General and first African American and Asian American U.S. Senator.

“Despite efforts by MAGA Dictatorship Republicans to undermine her achievements and those of people of color as unqualified when compared to White men, Harris represents the ideals and values of our 248 year old American Experience and of the American dream, emphasizing merit and character,” their statement read.

The Future - Today & Tomorrow strongly opposed the "dark, hate-filled false vision of America'' presented by what it refers to as the "MAGA Dictatorship Republican Party" and its candidates, Donald Trump and J.D. Vance who seeked to dismantle women’s rights and diversity initiatives.

In a bid to counteract this vision, the Super PAC has launched the "Excellent Women of Color for America" campaign. This campaign is committed to supporting women leaders who are crucial in defending constitutional rights, expanding women’s rights, advocating for equal pay, and fighting gender-based violence.

Their campaign endorsed the following candidates:

  • Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States
  • Michigan State Board of Education President Dr. Pamela Pugh (MI-8)
  • Michigan State Board of Education Co-Vice President Tiffany Tilley (MI-10)
  • Detroit City Councilwoman Mary Waters (MI-13)
  • United States Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (MI-12)
  • Former Grand Rapids City Commissioner Senita Lenear for Mayor of Grand Rapids, Michigan

Eric Foster, co-founder of the Future - Today & Tomorrow Super PAC, stated, "We must elect Democratic African American, Arab American, and other Women of Color leaders who will oppose the MAGA Dictatorship Republican agenda, which seeks to eliminate women’s rights and all diversity and race-conscious programs. The Excellent Women of Color for America campaign aims to empower these leaders and ensure they have the resources necessary to champion these crucial issues."
