Telangana CM Revanth Reddy arrives in US

Reddy will be meeting with business leaders in different states, including New Jersey, California, and Washington, DC to seek investments for Telangana.

Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Telangana, touched down at JFK Airport on August 3, where he was greeted by hundreds of Telugu non-resident Indians (NRIs), who waited two hours to greet Reddy.

In order to attract investments for the state, Reddy initiated his tour of the United States by conducting meetings with CEOs and industrialists from various sectors. The chief minister's office issued an official statement announcing that Reddy, who is accompanied by senior officials from the industries department, will return to Hyderabad on Aug. 14.

According to the CM’s itinerary, Reddy will be meeting the Indian diaspora in New Jersey and engaging with business leaders. His agenda includes a breakfast meeting with the CEO of Cognizant and one-on-one sessions with senior leaders from Cigna, Arcesium, Corning, and Zoetis. Reddy will participate in a CEO Roundtable lunch hosted by the Consul General of India and engage in discussions with executives from ARGA Investment Management, P&G, and Rapid7.

In order to investigate potential partnerships, he will convene with the president of the World Bank in Washington, DC. This will be followed by a visit to the headquarters of Charles Schwab in Dallas, Texas, where he will meet with senior executives from American Airlines. It is anticipated that he will participate in a business roundtable organized by ITServe Alliance and engage with Indian diaspora leaders.

In California, Reddy will engage in discussions with Aurum Group regarding data center expansion in Hyderabad, meet with the Apple Manufacturing team and Trinet CEO, and visit Apple Park. Additionally, he will engage in a business roundtable that is specifically focused on the semiconductor sector and engage with executives from Amgen, Renesas, and AMAT.

Additional meetings have been scheduled with senior executives from Thermo Fisher Scientific, Enovix, ZScaler, Amazon, and Google. Reddy will depart for South Korea on Aug.11, where he will engage in discussions with executives from the Korean Federation of Textiles Industry, Hyundai Motors, and Yuyu Pharma. Visits to the Han River Project and the Korean National Sports University are also scheduled, in addition to discussions with leaders from LS Holdings, LG Electronics, GS Caltex, and Celltrion.
