The denizens of Silicon Valley are heading to celebrate the Diwali weekend at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay. The weekend of Nov. 1–3, 2024 promises to be a spectacular one. The resort will don the illuminated festive air of a Diwali Mela and throw up a celebration that rings in the new year with a seven-star flair.

As the San Francisco Bay Area’s only oceanfront resort, Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay is perched atop a rugged bluff overlooking 50 miles of pristine California coastline. The Festival of Lights overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the oceanfront estate promises guests a weekend for the memory book. The Diwali dinner on Nov. 1 night can be booked on Tock as can the brunches on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3.

Chef Sagar Gaikwad of Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve & Heitz Cellar has especially flown in for the weekend of celebration. He will partner with Navio Chef de Cuisine Francisco Simón to create a magical gourmand Diwali of a seven-course chef's tasting dinner on Friday and lavish weekend brunches on Saturday and Sunday mornings, resplendent with a luxurious assortment of artisanal mithais and spiced nuts.

Diners are looking forward to a meal that blends Chef Simón’s innovative flair with Chef Gaikwad’s mastery in a spectacular fusion of flavors—honoring the joy, light, and magic of Diwali in this four-hands collaboration.

“Each dish will be a vibrant homage to Diwali traditions and Chef Gaikwad's rich culinary heritage,” said the Ritz. “The experience is further elevated with perfectly paired wines from Heitz Cellar, Napa Valley's trailblazer in sustainable winemaking.”

Chef Gaikwad who has held leadership positions at prestigious establishments like The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh, is a renowned chef known for his commitment to seasonal, sustainable cuisine. His innovative dishes blend traditional techniques with modern flair.

The oceanside resort, a treat at any other time,  will be made specially inviting this Diwali.
