Sidhartha Nair joins Alta Equipment Group board

Indian American executive Sidhartha Nair has been appointed to the board of Livonia, Michigan-based machinery manufacturing company Alta Equipment Group Inc, with effect from February 22, 2024.
Nair brings global experience and knowledge of startups, new market entry, growth, and digital transformation of businesses, the company said in its statement.
Nair serves as the head of strategy, Americas region, for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC and has been leading strategic and transformation activities in the US, Canada, and Mexico since December 2021.
He first joined Daimler Financial Services in 2003 and held roles of increasing responsibility during his tenure of more than 20 years in the US, Caribbean, and India business units. Prior to 2003, he was with McKinsey & Company as a consultant, working on developing strategic solutions addressing growth, turnaround, and new market entry.
He completed his MBA from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business, a master's in engineering from Purdue University, and B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
The 52-year-old expressed excitement at his appointment, saying "I am excited to join the board of Alta and be part of its rapidly expanding growth and position in the market. My experience should be beneficial to Alta’s diversified strategy to capitalize on the growth opportunities and cost-efficiency initiatives."

Alta Equipment Company is a provider of industrial forklifts, heavy construction equipment, and warehouse solutions. It owns and operates integrated equipment dealership platforms in the US and has presence in Canada.
