Shilpa Saxena among Tampa’s top women leaders

Shilpa Saxena, the chief medical officer and medical director of Forum Health, has been named among the Top 50 Women Leaders of Tampa for 2024 by Women We Admire.

Saxena has gained international recognition for her work in implementing the lifestyle-based group medical appointment model through her Group Visit Toolkits. Additionally, she has received accolades for her efforts in creating the online patient education platform, Living Wellness University.

The medical expert is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she completed the Junior Honors Medical Program. She also underwent family practice residency training at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. During this period, Saxena served as chief resident and obtained additional Certification in low-risk obstetrics.

Indian-origin women have been making waves in various states across the US. Early last month, Indian American Ridhima Raina, the vice president at Bain Academy, was featured in the Women We Admire list of Top 50 Women Leaders of Boston.

Before working at Bain, Raina held a prominent position leading strategy and business development for LexisNexis' UK business. In this capacity, she played a key role in shaping strategy, overseeing pricing, managing mergers and acquisitions, and driving innovation in new product development.
