MCR Hotels, the third-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States, has appointed Indian American executive Sameer Mehra as its chief revenue officer.
With 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mehra brings his expertise in revenue and distribution management, e-commerce, strategic partnerships, and sales leadership categories to MCR, an official statement from the company stated.
Mehra previously worked as the chief revenue officer at Hersha Hospitality Management and held leadership roles at Global Hospitality Investment Group and TPG Hotels & Resorts. In these positions, he played a pivotal role in streamlining processes and systems, improving operational efficiency, and building successful teams.
His professional journey began at the Taj Group of Hotels in India, where he handled revenue management across 65 luxury properties. Tyler Morse, chairman and CEO of MCR, expressed confidence in Mehra's revenue-focused initiatives and top-line growth.
Commenting on his new role, Mehra said, “As I spearhead revenue generation streams, I am confident of my ability to build a strong integrated revenue and sales team and add value to MCR’s distinguished portfolio of branded and independent assets."
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Delhi, an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Goa Institute of Management, and a leadership certificate from the Wharton Executive Education program.
