Rep. Sessions inaugurates Congressional Hindu Caucus
Since its inception, the caucus has played an essential role in connecting the Hindu-American community with lawmakers in Washington, D.C

Earlier this month, Congressman Pete Sessions in partnership with Representative Elise Stefanik announced the inauguration of the Congressional Hindu Caucus,dedicated to representing the values that are significant to the Hindu-American community, in the 118th Congress.
Chaired by the two representatives, the caucus represents Hindus from various countries including India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.It has played an essential role in connecting the Hindu-American community with lawmakers in Washington, D.C. since its inception during the 115th Congress Caucus, a release noted.
Free enterprise, fiscal discipline, limited government, strong family values, and a strong foreign policy stance against authoritarian regimes are among the aspects that the Congressional Hindu Caucus strongly supports.
Speaking at the inauguration, Congressman Sessions said, "The inauguration of the Congressional Hindu Caucus marks a significant step towards recognizing and amplifying the voice of the Hindu-American community in our nation's capitol. We are committed to addressing their concerns, celebrating their contributions, and ensuring their perspectives are heard at the highest levels of government."
Caucus members include, among others, Congressman Andy Biggs, who is committed to furthering the caucus’ objectives, in addition to chairwoman Stefanik and Congressman Sessions.
