Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy spoke against what he deemed an "unfortunate move" by campaign advisors associated with former President Donald Trump.
Ramaswamy's remarks came in response to a social media post on Trump's Truth Social platform, where the former President accused him of resorting to “deceitful” campaign tactics ahead of the Iowa Caucus.
The entrepreneur-turned-politician addressed the accusations, acknowledging Trump's status as the greatest President of the 21st century. He further deemed the attack on him as bad advice from political advisors.
In addition, Ramaswamy expressed concern over a perceived effort to keep Trump away from the White House. He steered clear from attacking Trump and focused on sharing his worries for the former President and the country.
Earlier, Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, “Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter, ‘the best President in generations,’ etc. Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks.”
He added: “Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the “other side” — don’t get duped by this. Vote for “TRUMP,” don’t waste your vote! Vivek is not MAGA. The Biden Indictments against his Political Opponent will never be allowed in this Country, they are already beginning to fall! MAGA!!!”
Ahead of the Iowa Caucus, Trump has urged his supporters to be vigilant against potential "dirty tricks.” Meanwhile, Ramaswamy countered Trump's accusations with a plea to save and vote for him instead.
The 38-year-old has been advocating for the preservation of Trump's political influence, while the 77-year-old has been cautioning his voters against Ramaswamy.
