Northfield Bank and Northfield Bancorp, Inc. have announced that Dr. Rachana A. Kulkarni will join as a director on their boards with effect from February 1, 2024.
Announcing Kulkarni’s role, Steven M. Klein, chairman and CEO commented, “Rachana’s diverse skills, life experiences, and contributions to her community, will play a key role in our continued development and growth.”
Kulkarni is the regional director of cardiology at Barnabas Health Corp and the president and managing partner of Medicor Cardiology, one of the top cardiology groups in New Jersey.
A resident of Skillman, New Jersey, Kulkarni holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. Presently, she has executive positions on several non-profit organizations, such as Akshaya Patra USA, the biggest non-governmental organization in the world that promotes school lunch programs.
Kulkarni obtained her bachelor's degree in business administration from Auburn University, her master's degree in medicine from the Government Medical College of India and Rutgers University, and her certificate in management excellence from Harvard University.
Founded in 1887, Northfield Bank has 39 full-service banking locations in Hunterdon, Middlesex, Mercer, and Union counties in New Jersey, as well as Staten Island and Brooklyn in New York.
