California-based cybersecurity and compliance company Proofpoint has appointed two Indian Americans to its leadership team.
Rohit Dixit was named executive vice president and chief customer officer, while Satya Jena was appointed as the company's senior vice president of digital platforms.

Emphasizing that the new appointees will fuel Proofpoint’s continued momentum, chief executive officer Sumit Dhawan, said, “Their collective passion, relentless pursuit of excellence, and spirit of innovation will be invaluable in fostering our culture, elevating our services for our customers, and accelerating our velocity as the human-centric cybersecurity partner and advisor of choice for the world’s leading organizations.”
According to the company's statement, Dixit will spearhead the company's holistic strategy for customer retention and service. He has over 30 years of experience in SaaS and technology-enabled service businesses, with a track record of transforming organizations to deliver market-leading advisory services and unparalleled customer experience.
Dixit has previously served at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as senior vice president of advisory and professional services. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and computer science from the Pune Institute of Computer Technology as well as an MBA in corporate strategy of operations from the University of Michigan - Stephen M Ross School of Business.
Meanwhile, Jena was named to a newly created role at the company. His areas of expertise include business transformation, customer experience, product management, and platform engineering. Jena will spearhead Proofpoint’s digital transformation initiatives aimed at accelerating business growth and agility.
He will report to chief financial officer Rémi Thomas to drive innovation and business growth through the launch of new business models and digital platforms. Prior to joining Proofpoint, Jena spent nearly a decade at VMware building and cultivating the company’s digital transformation and monetization capabilities.
As per Jena's LinkedIn profile, he completed his bachelor's degree in engineering IT from Bangalore University, studied accounting at University of California, Santa Cruz, and participated in Stanford Advanced Project Management at Stanford University.
He completed an MBA in entrepreneurship from Babson FW Olin Graduate School of Business. He also undertook executive education on high-impact leadership from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
