In a shocking incident on December 29, a wealthy family in Dover, Massachusetts, was discovered dead inside their $5 million mansion. The victims were identified as Rakesh Kamal, 57, his wife Teena, 54, and their 18-year-old daughter Arianna.

NBC Boston has disclosed that the investigation into their death is ongoing. The medical examiner's office is still investigating the cause and manner of the deaths, according to the report.

A family member who visited the residence located at 8 Wilsons Way called 911 without delay. The bodies were found alongside a firearm, with authorities hinting at a possible case of domestic violence.

The Daily Chronicle reported that Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey confirmed the incident during a press conference on December 30. Morrissey mentioned that a gun was found, and although he did not disclose its exact location, he indicated it was in close proximity to the husband.

The investigation is ongoing, and Morrissey refrained from revealing details about the firearm's ownership at this time. It was also reported that there was no evidence of a break-in or involvement of an external party.

David Traub, a spokesperson for Morrissey, stated, “The evidence available at this time does not indicate the involvement of any outside party, but suggests that this is a deadly incident of domestic violence.”

Teena and her husband, who also went by Rick, had run a Massachusetts-based education systems company called EduNova. She was the Chief Executive Officer of EduNova and also served on the board of the American Red Cross of Massachusetts.

According to media reports, the couple was facing financial problems as Teena filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in September 2022 – listing between $1 million and $10 million in liabilities, according to filings.

Arianna’s death was mourned by her school, Vermont's Middlebury College.  In a statement, they said Arianna Kamal was a first-year student and a member of the Class of 2027.

Describing Arianna as a “brilliant student and an amazing singer” a teacher at the school who taught her said,  “She was connected and engaged in class, and passionate about everything she did. She was a beautiful writer and always did things 110 percent. She was a deeply spiritual person and dove into the material in the first-year seminar course.”

The school currently on break said it will hold a remembrance ceremony for Arianna  after getting in touch with her friends and extended family.
