Priyanka Chopra Jonas to star in Russo Brothers’ ‘The Bluff’

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to star in Russo Brothers’ upcoming movie ‘The Bluff’. Screenwriter Frank E. Flowers is making his directorial debut with this film.

The movie is a collaboration between AGBO Studios and Amazon MGM Studios who’ve worked with Priyanka previously on ‘Citadel,’ according to initial reports by Deadline.

The actress shared a snapshot of the article on her social media. “Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates. -Mark Twain,” she wrote in the caption on Instagram. She also tagged the team, including the Russo Brothers, AGBO Films, Flowers, and actor Karl Urban who will star alongside her in the film.

‘The Bluff’ is set in the 19th century and follows a former female pirate (essayed by Priyanka Chopra Jonas) who must protect her family when the sins of her past catch up to her, according to the Deadline report. The movie is expected to begin production in spring, in Australia.

It will be produced by AGBO’s Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Michael Disco, Cisely Saldana of Cinestar Pictures, Mariel Saldana, and Priyanka herself. Flowers is also listed as a producer and co-writer of the screenplay with Joe Ballarini. The movie will be available to stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Alongside ‘Citadel’ and ‘The Bluff,’ Priyanka’s upcoming release also includes ‘Heads of State’ also starring Idris Elba and John Cena. Her ‘Citadel’ has been renewed for Season 2 and is expected to release in 2025.

She previously featured in Sony’s movie ‘Love Again.’ Her production banner Purple Pebble is currently under a first-look TV and film deal with Amazon Studios to create original content focused on diversity and inclusion for its entertainment and youth channels.
