PM Modi leaves for UAE and Qatar
This is the Indian PM's seventh visit to the UAE since 2015 and the third in the last eight months.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Feb. 13 following which he will also visit Qatar for two days. Ahead of his departure, PM Modi underscored the bilateral ties between India and these nations.
Emphasizing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the UAE, the PM highlighted the substantial growth in cooperation over the past nine years across various sectors. "Over the last nine years, our cooperation with UAE in diverse sectors such as trade and investment, defence and security, food and energy security and education has grown manifold. Our cultural and people-to-people connect is stronger than ever, " he stated.

In UAE, Modi will address world leaders at the World Government Summit in Dubai, aligning with India’s vision for transformative governance. The Indian Prime Minister will also inaugurate Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple, emphasizing shared values of harmony, peace, and tolerance between India and the UAE on Feb 14. A special community event called "Ahlan Modi"is also organized at Abu Dhabi by the Indian community.
In Qatar, PM Modi expressed eagerness to meet with the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. “India and Qatar enjoy historically close and friendly relations. In recent years, our multifaceted ties have continued to deepen in all spheres including high level political exchanges, growing trade and investment between two countries, strengthening of our energy partnership, and cooperation in culture and education. The presence of over 800,000 strong Indian community in Doha is a testament to our strong people-to-people ties,” Modi said ahead of his visit.
