PM Modi addresses B20 Summit India 2023

Modi urged global businesses to move forward as sustainability is in itself an opportunity as well as a business model.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed business leaders on the final day of the  at the B20 Summit India 2023 in Delhi and spoke on a a variety of matters from building a resilient global supply chain to ensuring that Ethical AI is promoted.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister said that India plays a significant role in establishing a reliable and effective global supply chain. He praised India's young talent pool and digital revolution as reasons why the country is an appealing partner for businesses around the world. “The more your friendship deepens with India, the more prosperity accrue to both”, he told the delegates.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister emphasized the joyous occasion brought about by the successful Chandrayaan Mission landing on August 23. He claimed that the holiday season has already begun in India, and that both society and business are in a good mood. Because many of Chandrayaan's components were supplied by the private sector and MSMEs, the Prime Minister praised both the industry and ISRO for their contributions to the mission's success.

When it comes to the B20 theme of 'R.A.I.S.E.' (Responsible, Accelerated, Innovative, Sustainable, Equitable Businesses), PM Modi envisions another 'I' of inclusiveness. “India believes that the inclusive approach of this forum will have a direct impact on this group,” he said..

He observed that in the post-corona world, everyone is more concerned about their health, and the effects are visible in daily activities. The well-being of the planet is also our responsibility”, the Prime Minister added urging the business community to move forward with sustainable business models.

"I am sure the B20 summit has paved the way for collective transformation. A connected world isn't just about connection through technology but it is also about shared purpose, planet, prosperity, and future," the PM concluded.
