Chicago-based wealth management firm, Northern Trust corporation, announced the appointment of Srilatha Lakkaraju as director of charitable giving solutions for its Foundation and Institutional Advisors (FIA) practice.
In her new role, Lakkaraju will lead the national strategy and implementation of Northern Trust’s Donor Advised Fund and Private Foundation Administration solutions.
Lakkaraju brings over 14 years of experience from her previous position as senior vice president and philanthropic client manager at Bank of America, where she managed private foundations and nonprofit organizations nationwide. She provided strategic insights, education, and thought leadership to her philanthropic clients.
Lakkaraju also has experience in public policy, having advocated for nonprofit tax policy, governance, and compliance issues earlier in her career.

Lakkaraju holds a Master of Science in Public Service from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Management of Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
