The Penn State Alumni Association has named Nikur Shah a 1995 graduate of Penn State's College of the Liberal Arts, a 2024 Alumni Fellow. The fellowship is the highest honor bestowed by the association, recognizing alumni who have achieved outstanding professional success and have made significant contributions to their fields.
A senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), a British multinational professional services network of firms, Shah advises Fortune 500 companies on human resources and organizational issues, with a focus on creating work environments where employees can thrive.
His leadership in enhancing workplace experiences has had a transformative impact on numerous organizations and their employees. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Shah has remained connected to Penn State through volunteering, mentoring students, and establishing an endowed scholarship, the university said in a statement.
Shah is one of twelve distinguished Penn State alumni to receive the Alumni Fellow Award for 2024. The recipients are invited back to the University Park campus to share their expertise with students, faculty, and administrators. A ceremony to celebrate their achievements will be held on Sept.18 at the State Theatre in downtown State College.
The Alumni Fellow program, administered by the Penn State Alumni Association in collaboration with the University’s academic colleges and campuses, celebrates the impact of Penn Staters who excel in their professions and contribute to their communities on a national and global scale. This honor has been given to more than 800 alumni since it was established in 1973.
