Nikki Haley ramped up her attack on former boss Donald Trump in a new ad that describes him as “ranting, raving” and old. The 30-second ad called “Blessed” is currently airing in Haley’s home state of South Carolina, that is set to vote in the Republican primary later this month.

“He just can’t help himself, the ranting and raving. Chaos follows him, and he’s getting older,” the narrator begins the ad before going on to state that Trump is only running for office to “settle old scores.”

The former UN ambassador who has consistently advocated for a “younger generation” of leaders in a previous ad mocked both Trump (77) and Joe Biden (81) for their age. Titled “Grumpy Old Men”, the ad called out both the politicians for “hiding in their basements.”

The title is a reference to the 1993 movie of the same name starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. Haley posted an image on X, formerly Twitter, replacing the actors' faces in a version of the movie poster with the faces of Biden and Trump.

In a surprise move on Feb. 3, Haley made a cameo appearance on the long-running popular comedy show “Saturday Night Live.” The candidate appeared briefly during the “cold open,” at a spoof “CNN Presidential Town Hall.”

Gayle King, played by Punkie Johnson, and Charles Barkley, played by Kenan Thompson, hosted the town hall with Donald Trump, played by James Austin Johnson.

In the skit, Haley - who played a “concerned South Carolina voter,” - asked Trump: “Why won’t you debate Nikki Haley?” As he incorrectly identified her as former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Haley went on to ask fake Trump: “Are you doing okay, Donald? You might need a mental competency test.” To which Trump replied: “I took the test, I aced it. I’m 100 percent mental.”

Meanwhile, a federal appeals court on Tuesday dealt a blow to Trump’s Presidential bid by ruling he did not have “presidential immunity,” and can be criminally prosecuted on charges of plotting to overturn the 2020 election. The Supreme Court is expected to decide next week if it will take up Trump’s appeal. If the Court declines to hear the case, his trial could begin as early as mid-March.
