New Jersey’s Loyadham temple celebrates 10th anniversary

New Jersey’s Loyadham temple organized a grand celebration (mahotsav) to celebrate its 10th anniversary last month. The “Shri Loyadham Mahotsav-1” drew devotees from over 12 states in the United States as well as many from Canada, UK, India, and other countries. 

The event featured satsang katha, divine abhishek (purification ritual) of Piyuda Ghanshyam Maharaj, grand annakut (offering), cultural program of children and youth, mahila manch (female cultural program), lectures of saints and devotees, as well as patriotic performances.

Nicolas Cara, Mayor of Raritan, NJ and Umesh Agrawal, councilman of the borough of Raritan, NJ graced the event along with other dignitaries including Dr. Chinmay Pandya, vice chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwa Vidyalay and others.

“All guests were privileged to witness truly remarkable events. The memories of it will bring pleasure to all for years to come. In the presence of saints and honorable Guru, everyone experienced pure tranquility at heart despite any circumstance,” the organizers said in a statement.

Since its establishment the temple has been dedicated to the welfare of Indians in the United States. Multiple programs including children’s activities, youth activities, women activities and special programs for senior citizens are often organized by the temple.
