Naresh Sonpar, a distinguished university lecturer and former City financial expert, has been elected as the new chair of the city of London corporation’s education board.
The appointment, confirmed by members of the education board, marks a significant development in the oversight of educational strategies and programs in the heart of the UK capital.
The board, which directs educational initiatives encompassing skills development, cultural learning, and apprenticeship schemes, plays a pivotal role in advancing the city corporation’s educational outreach. This includes the stewardship of the city corporation’s network of schools, comprising 10 academies and several other educational institutions.
