In the upcoming film "Sarfira," releasing on July.12, Akshay Kumar will star in a role inspired by real-life events, portraying a common man who challenges the world's most capital-intensive sector to make flying accessible to ordinary people. Directed and written by Sudha Kongara, the film is produced by Arun Bhatia, Suriya, Jyotika, and Vikram Malhotra. The cast includes Paresh Rawal, Radhika Madan, Seema Biswas, and Akshay Kumar himself.

"Sarfira" is the official remake of the Tamil film "Soorarai Pottru." The narrative revolves around the protagonist's journey supported by his family, friends, and unwavering determination, drawing inspiration from Captain GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan.
