Gunmen dressed in camouflage attire unleashed a barrage of gunfire at concert attendees near Moscow on Mar. 22, leading to the fatalities of at least 115 individuals and injuring over 100 others in an attack attributed to Islamic State militants.

The assailants indiscriminately targeted civilians with automatic weapons just before a performance by the rock group "Picnic" at the Crocus City Hall, a venue with a capacity of 6,200 located just west of the capital.

Verified footage depicted patrons initially taking their seats within the hall before chaos erupted, with frantic attempts to flee as the sound of gunfire reverberated amidst screams. Additional recordings captured assailants firing upon groups of people, while some victims lay motionless amidst pools of blood.

The Islamic State (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the assault at Crocus City Hall near Moscow. In a brief statement by ISIS and circulated on social media channels affiliated with the extremist organization, the terrorist group asserted accountability for the incident. However, no substantiating evidence accompanied the declaration.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday condemned the "heinous terrorist attack" and expressed solidarity with the Russian government. "We strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack in Moscow. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims. India stands in solidarity with the government and the people of the Russian Federation in this hour of grief," the Prime Minister wrote.
