J Sai Deepak, an Indian Supreme Court lawyer, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is “blessed” and India is “cursed” with a “weak opposition”. Deepak made the remarks at the TiECon2024 in Santa Clara, California, during an interaction with reporters.
“Modi is blessed with a weak opposition, and India is cursed with a weak opposition. And I don't think it bodes well in general because the quality of the opposition also determines the quality of the democracy,” he shared.
