Milaap, India's leading crowdfunding platform, has recently introduced a new feature aimed at facilitating global philanthropy. This feature specifically caters to Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and diaspora supporters from around the world, making it simpler for them to contribute to significant causes in India.

This feature simplifies the donation process for individuals who wish to contribute to causes such as medical emergencies, disaster relief, and education by allowing donations through Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs).

DAFs are known for being tax-efficient and flexible, but the traditional process of donating through them was often slow and complicated. With Milaap’s new integration, donors can now give quickly and securely in just three clicks, making the process as easy as using Apple Pay or Google Pay.

“This feature enables global supporters to effortlessly contribute to critical causes like life-saving treatments, education for the underprivileged, memorials, and more. Now, they can make a significant impact on the causes they care about in India, no matter where they are in the world,” said Mayukh Choudhury, co-founder of Milaap.

The organization's statement highlights the significant support from the Indian diaspora in the United States, who have played a crucial role in contributing almost one-third of Milaap's total donations over the past 14 years. With the introduction of DAFs, Milaap expects even more engagement from the global community, further supporting critical needs in healthcare, education, and social welfare across India.

Milaap has helped raise funds for over a million projects across India, with support from donors in 130 countries. This new feature underscores Milaap’s commitment to making charitable giving as simple and impactful as possible.
