Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to return to the big screen on Sept.13 in an upcoming thriller ‘The Buckingham Murders’ directed by acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta.

Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film not only marks Kareena's debut as a producer but also promises a suspense-filled narrative that contrasts sharply with the actress' previous work.
 

The teaser released recently showcases Kareena in a role that is both intense and emotionally charged, as she portrays Jasmeet "Jass" Bhamra, a single mother and dedicated police officer who is grappling with the devastating loss of her son.

Set against the backdrop of a small town rife with intergenerational tensions and deep-seated prejudices, The Buckingham Murders explores themes of grief, justice, and community fractures. The film's narrative, written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, delves into the complexities of a community torn apart by a tragic crime, with Kareena’s  character at the heart of the unfolding drama.
