Hiroshi Suzuki, the Japanese Ambassador to India has won hearts after he posted a video of himself grooving to the hit song ‘Kaavaalaa’ from Rajnikanth’s latest movie ‘Jailer’, on X, formerly Twitter. The song that features Tamannaah Bhatia has garnered multiple million views on YouTube and has continued to trend a month after its release.
Suzuki copied the hook step to the T, and was seen smiling wide for the camera while doing so. At a later point in the video, he was seen doing the signature Rajnikanth style of wearing sunglasses. “My love for Rajnikant continues…” Suzuki’s tweet read in part. Also featured in the video was Japanese YouTuber Mayo san and others who danced along and matched steps with the ambassador. The ambassador’s video has been watched over 854.5K times and has garnered 13.1K likes.
“Ambassador of Japan to India @hiroshisuzukiambjp & Japanese YouTuber who loves India @mayojapan’s Collab Dance Lots of Love from Japan Special thanks to Madame Suzuki and Embassy staff for dancing as back dancers,” Mayo wrote in the caption of the dance video shared on Instagram.
The ambassador had previously won the hearts of several Indians after he posted a montage of him and his wife trying out and enjoying various spicy Indian food items like samosa and misal pav, back in June. The video also managed to incite a response from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Good to see you enjoying India’s culinary diversity and also presenting it in such an innovative manner. Keep the videos coming!” Modi tweeted in response.
