The INSAT-3DS Satellite is a follow-on mission to the Third Generation Meteorological Satellite in Geostationary Orbit. This is the ISRO's second mission in 2024, following the successful launch of the PSLV-C58/EXPOSAT mission on January 1.
The 51.7-metre-tall GSLV-F14 soared off the spaceport's second launch pad, amid loud cheers from the crowd that had gathered in the gallery at the space centre.
