India's squad for the final three Test matches against England was revealed by the selection committee of the Borad of Cricket control in India (BCCI).
While Virat Kohli still remains off the field for undisclosed personal reasons, BCCI has included all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and batsman KL Rahul to the squad for the remaining Tests despite being ruled out of the second Test against England owing to injuries. However, permission from the BCCI medical team is required before they can participate.
Shreyas Iyer, who batted at number four in the second Test while Kohli and Rahul were absent, will not be selected for the rest of the series. The third Test begins on February 15 in Rajkot, with the final two Tests taking place in Ranchi (February 23) and Dharamsala (March 7).
The setback in the first Test in Hyderabad was just India's fourth in 47 home matches, but the squad recovered to win the second Test at Vishakapatnam to tie the series.
Rohit Sharma (C), Jasprit Bumrah (VC), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul*, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel (WK), KS Bharat (WK), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja*, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, and Akash Deep.
