Anish Bhanwala won bronze in the men's 25-meter rapid-fire pistol event on November 24, his first individual medal at the ISSF World Cup Final 2023. This was India's first medal in this category at the World Cup Final, and it was the country's only individual medal at the Doha meet.

Competing at the Lusail Shooting Range, the former Commonwealth Games champion scored 27 out of 35. Germany’s Florian Peter scored 35 out of 49 to take the gold, defeating the Republic of China’s reigning world champion, LI Yuehong.

The Indian shooter’s incredible play led to the elimination of competitors like Jueming Zhang of China and France’s Clement Bessaguet. His bronze medal not only signifies India’s first-ever medal in the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol event at the ISSF World Cup Final but also adds to the 21-year-old shooter’s winning streak.

Apart from securing a bronze in Cairo and another at the Asian Shooting Championships in Changwon, he also earned a Paris 2024 Olympic quota for India.
