Chandrika Ravi has made history as the first Australian actress of Indian descent to host a radio show in the United States with the debut of "The Chandrika Ravi Show." The show premiered on June.5 on Rukus Avenue Radio and iHeartRadio.
On the program, Ravi will discuss her personal experiences and challenges, which encompass her journey through divorce, cancer, anxiety, depression, and heartbreaks. Rukus Avenue Radio's founder, Sammy Chand, extended this opportunity to Ravi after being motivated by her fortitude.
In addition to hosting, Ravi is also a co-producer, involved in all aspects of the show's creation. Episodes will air every Friday. with full episodes available on YouTube every Friday.
Ravi has previous experience hosting live shows on radio and television. She hopes her role will pave the way for more Indian women in the industry, stating, "I may be the first, but I won't be the last,” she said.
Chandrika Ravi, born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, has made a significant impact in various film industries. Her performances in Tamil and Telugu films, such as "Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuthu" and "Veera Simha Reddy," have garnered her widespread recognition. Her upcoming role as Silk Smitha in "Silk Smitha: The Untold Story," directed by Jayaram Sankaran, is highly anticipated.
