The House of Commons at London's Palace of Westminster echoed with eminent voices highlighting India's critical role as a transformative global player, on December 14, as the Indian Minorities foundation (IMF) hosted the Sadhbhavna event “Namaste London”.

A number of UK lawmakers and political figures affirmed India's impressive advancements in a number of areas over the last nine years, all under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prominent attendees included members of the Indian diaspora, academicians, business executives, and UK parliamentarians. Satnam Singh Sandhu, the convener of the Indian Minorities Foundation and chancellor of Chandigarh University, was also in attendance.

Their combined insights explained India's rise to international prominence as evidence of the country's rising success, highlighting its economic and technological supremacy over the last nine years under Prime Minister Modi.

The Indian diaspora in the UK expressed during the event that they believed Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead India in its dynamic path to becoming a symbol of economic resilience, a global provider of solutions, and a proactive peacemaker on the international scene.

The 'London Resolution' was voted by them, in which they committed to supporting India's prosperity and development and actively participating in PM Modi's goal of a 'developed India by 2047'.

In addition, they praised the strengthening and dynamic bilateral ties between India and the UK, claiming that they had entered a new phase following PM Modi's election to office and confirming his status as a well-liked and influential global leader.

Other dignitaries in attendance included Paul Stuart Scully, a member of parliament for Sutton and Cheam; Lord Gavin Williamson, a Conservative MP for South Staffordshire; Lord German, a member of the House of Lords; and John David Beckett Taylor, the High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom.

For the first time the two books of any Indian Prime Minister were released at the House of Commons in UK. Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann Ki Baat @100 and "Heartfelt-The Legacy of Faith," two books on Modi, were presented at the IMF event.

The book 'Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann Ki Baat @100' is an endeavor to ignite the people's collective consciousness, as the monthly radio broadcast hosted by Prime Minister Modi achieved a significant milestone in April 2023—its 100th episode—leaving an enduring impression on the airwaves and sparking a social revolution throughout India.

In a different book titled "Heartfelt-The Legacy of Faith," Modi describes his sincere attempts to bring about justice and prosperity as well as the fulfillment of the Sikh community's long-overdue goals. He also details his belief in the Sikh Gurus and their teachings.
