Indian Consulate in San Francisco celebrates Yoga Day at Heartfulness Institute in Fremont

The Consulate General of India, in collaboration with Heartfulness, and community partners Festival of Globe (FOG), Association of Indo Americans(AIA), and State Bank of India (SBI), celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga at the Heartfulness Institute in Fremont.

The event saw participation of over 350 people, including elected officials and distinguished guests such as Acharya Lokesh Muniji and Bhai Saheb Satpal Singh Ji.

Dr Srikar Reddy, the Consul General of India at San Francisco, began the event by addressing the gathering, highlighting the benefits of yoga for physical and mental well-being.



Ajay Bhutoria, Advisor to President Biden for Asian Americans, showed a special presentation. He also delivered a recognition from the California State Assembly to Dr Reddy.

Highlight of the event was a cultural yogic dance performed by children from the AIA and FOG, which added a vibrant and artistic touch to the celebration. This was followed by a yoga session and a meditation session by Heartfulness.
