Indian artist blends Puneri Dhol and pop vocals on US tour

Indian artist Purva Mantri captivated audiences across the United States with her Purvastic Tour 2024, which kicked off on Sept. 13, 2024, in Atlanta. 

Known for her vibrant and versatile voice, Purva is recognized for her original indie music and energetic live performances and  has built a strong fan base across age groups, particularly among the youth. 

During the tour, Purva became the first Indian female performer to sing while playing the 27 kg Puneri Dhol, a traditional Indian instrument. This act gained significant attention during her 2023 Navratri performance in India and has since become highly requested by her fans.

Her performances spanned several major cities, including Savannah, Dallas, Chicago, Boston, and Seattle. The *Purvastic Tour* featured a unique 15-minute act combining her vocals with the rhythmic beats of the Puneri Dhol, leaving audiences mesmerized. 

With a substantial online presence of over 245,000 subscribers and 60 million views on YouTube, Purva has also gained recognition for her appearances on Zee TV's Indian Pro Music League*, where she represented Mumbai Warriors.
