Members of the Indian American community participated in the Israel Solidarity Rally organized by the Jewish United Fund at North Shore Congregation Israel (NSCI) in Glencoe, Illinois. The Rally raised funds for Israel which is in a state of War following a terrorist attack carried out by the militant group, Hamas, on October 7.

"Terrorism is a global problem that affects everyone, not just Israel. The time to act is now, before it's too late!,"Hemant Patel one of the participants in the rally said. The group of Indians expressed solidarity by marching with Indian and American flags.

"We don’t have to agree with the policies of the Israeli government to stand against terrorism. We don’t have to fully understand the Palestinian plight to stand against terrorism. We don’t have to feel compelled to ‘choose a side’ due to social media pressures and propaganda that lacks historical or biblical context; just speak out against terrorism. I believe standing with Israel against all terrorism is a moral and spiritual responsibility," pastor Chris Harris, Sr said in his address to the gathering.

The surprise attacks were carried out by the militant group on civilians at an outdoor music concert, they also infiltrated Israeli Communities and gunned down people on the streets and in their homes. The Israel authorities said on Tuesday the death toll had surpassed 1,200.
