Indian Americans among top 25 Chief Digital Officers of 2024

Five Indian American women were among the 25 honourees

Women We Admire has revealed its list of Top 25 Women Chief Digital Officers of 2024, spotlighting female leaders who drive digital transformation across industries. 

Among the 25 honorees are five Indian Americans —Sushmita Biswas, Sehr Thadani, Ekta Chopra, Prama Bhatt, and Reeny Sondhi. They have been recognized for their visionary leadership and pioneering efforts that shaped the digital landscape.

The award recognizes individuals leading digital initiatives within their organizations, fostering innovation, and enhancing customer experiences. These women leveraged their expertise to drive strategies, develop personalized digital solutions, and build brand loyalty.

Biswas, chief digital officer of USAA, LifeCo, has over two decades of experience in digital strategy and transformation across financial services. With a background spanning the US, UK, and Asia, her career spanned from being a relationship manager at Standard Chartered Bank to leading digital initiatives at USAA. 

Thadani serves as the chief digital officer at Nasdaq, driving innovation and change. Her diverse background included roles at Google, NBC, Viacom, Silicon Foundry, and other advisory positions. 

Chopra, chief digital officer at e.l.f. Beauty has over two decades of technology experience in her role. With a focus on digital transformation, she led efforts to expand e.l.f. Beauty’s global digital footprint. Her experience also includes tenures at James Irvine Foundation and Charming Charlie. 

Bhatt was the chief digital office at Ulta Beauty. With a focus on omnichannel strategies, Bhatt fueled the e-commerce growth at her company, positioning Ulta Beauty as a leader in the industry. 

Sondhi, chief digital officer at Twilio, brought over 25 years of technology expertise to her role. Responsible for information security and technology, Sondhi’s career involved driving creative solutions to complex problems. She also serves on the board of cybersecurity firm Cyber7.
