The Indian American Impact Fund’s 2024 Postcard Program has reached a significant milestone, with over 25,000 postcards mailed to South Asian voters in key battleground states.

The initiative aims to boost voter turnout by connecting with voters through beautifully designed, personalized postcards created by South Asian artists.

The organization announced the update in a Facebook post, thanking its volunteers who hosted postcard-writing events, stamped, and mailed the cards. “A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers who devoted countless hours writing, hosting postcard parties, stamping, and mailing these cards,” the post read.

Artists, including Ronita Chowdhury Wade, Anjali Chandrashekar, and Sona N. Sood, among others, contributed their creativity to the postcard designs which featured desi slongans like “Hum Honge Kamalayaab” and “Lotus for Potus.”

The Impact Fund also acknowledged its partnership with “They See Blue,” a grassroots organization with a mission to mobilize and engage Americans of South Asian origin to vote for Democrats, which helped expand the program’s reach to more South Asian voters in critical races.

The initiative was initially launched on Independence Day, drawing parallels between the ongoing struggle for representation and the fight for freedom. The Postcard Program was introduced as part of the Fund's larger efforts to mobilize historically underrepresented communities ahead of the 2024 elections.
