In the final match’s showdown at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Indian cricket team secured a victory against Australia in the T20 series with scoreboard tallying 4-1.
Arshdeep Singh defended nine runs in the final over and ended the five-match series with a win.
Batting first, India faced a tough start. However, Shreyas Iyer's innings of 53 runs off 37 balls helped them reach 160/8 in 20 overs. The Australians chased the target smoothly until Mukesh Kumar’s double-wicket over and Singh’s final over defense.
Axar Patel's wicket against Tim David and Arshdeep Singh's wicket of en McDermott set up the last five overs, where Mukesh Kumar took a double-wicket. Ain the final 15 runs Singh took a wicket against Wade and secured the win.
Patel and Ravi Bishnoi were awarded the Player of the Match and Player of the Series title.
The team was playing a five-match series in Raipur, captained by Suryakumar Yadav. The Australian team will now return to home ground for their upcoming test series with Pakistan.
