India strongly denounced the loss of innocent lives in the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict during a recent meeting of the UN General Assembly.
Ruchira Kamboj, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, expressed deep concern over the extensive casualties, particularly among women and children, and deemed these consequences as completely unacceptable and unreservedly condemned the deaths of civilians.
During her speech, Kamboj highlighted India's unwavering stance against terrorism and pointed out that the immediate trigger for the conflict was the terrorist attacks in Israel on October 7. She labeled these attacks as shocking and deserving of unequivocal condemnation.
She also stressed on the necessity for a peaceful resolution through dialogue and diplomacy, emphasizing that there can be no justification for terrorism or hostage-taking.

Regarding the issue of hostage-taking by Hamas, Kamboj demanded the immediate and unconditional release of those held captive.
Reiterating India’s commitment to preventing further escalation in the conflict, ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid, and striving for the early restoration of peace and stability in the region, Kamboj mentioned that the Indian government maintains constant communication with the leaders of both Israel and Palestine.
The Israel-Hamas conflict, which has persisted for the past three months, has raised significant global concerns. In the present scenario, Kambhoj underscored the importance of providing continuous humanitarian assistance to those affected by the war and achieving enduring peace in the troubled region.
