The International Cricket Council (ICC) will release the tickets for additional 13 matches of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 that is hosted by the United States and West Indies.

Additional tickets will be available on the T20 World Cup website from 10 am AST/2:00 pm GMT, on March 19. Certain games in the Caribbean have starting prices as low as US$6, whereas US$35 is the starting price in venues in the USA.

The tournament is scheduled to beginfrom June 1-29 across venues in the two countries. India will be playing all of its matches in the newly built Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.

Tickets for India’s matches against Ireland (Jun 5), and against the United States (Jun 12) will be available in the new set of released tickets.

A release by ICC noted that more than 3 million applications were submitted during the balloting round, indicating the great demand for tickets. Increasing the number of public ticket options will be another way to guarantee that fans have every chance to attend the T20 World Cup, ICC said in a statement.

“We are delighted to have worked with our commercial partners to be able to release these additional tickets to 51 matches to ensure that we are accommodating as many fans as possible at every ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 fixture," said Chris Tetley, ICC head of events.

With 20 nations participating in 55 games spread over nine venues, the 2024 T20 World Cup will be the largest tournament in the history of the sport. The event is being hosted by the USA for the first time, and 16 games will be contested at three cities— Lauderhill (Central Broward Park), Dallas (Grand Prairie Stadium) and New York (Nassau County Stadium)

“With less than 80 days to the start of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, this announcement is an emphatic response to the global call from fans to make additional tickets available for matches and we are thrilled to be able to do this, while ensuring that as many people as possible have the opportunity to witness the biggest Carnival of Cricket in person,” Fawwaz Baksh, tournament director, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
