Internationally acclaimed and award-winning author Monica Saigal recently participated in a signing event of her new book 'A Kiss in Kashmir' in Alexandria, Virginia.

In a conversation with New India Abroad, she shared the reason behind her decision to write a love story based in Kashmir. "It started because I was watching these movies about falling in love that had no diversity. It was all about young people in the same old city everywhere. So, I wanted to bring some diversity of age, of character, and where these people are," Saigal said.
