Dr Vivek Murthy, the first Indian-origin Surgeon General in the US, said he feels a sense of pride at the representation of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in the White House and how much it has grown over the years.

“Every time I walk through the White House, through our department, through the halls of Congress and see other AAPI members of our administration, I feel a real sense of pride at how much representation we have.
