New Jersey’s Umiya Dham temple hosted a week of grand celebrations called the Shree Ram Mandir Mahotsav to mark the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya that took place earlier this month.
Multiple events organised over the week culminated in a spectacular Ramleela musical performed by the Navrang Dance Academy under the direction of Varsha Naik, founder of the academy.
Over 1000 devotees of Lord Ram witnessed the performance by 65 participants of all ages, who came together to present the story of Lord Ram with colorful costumes, props, and a digital backdrop. Around 150 children from the second generation also were part of the large audience for the Ramleela.
The Maha Prasad (blessings from the ceremony) was distributed by Umiya Dham temple volunteers at the end of the Ramleela performance, which was followed by the Maha Aarti.

The NJ temple hosted seven days of festivities that included Ram dhun, Sundarkand, Satyanaryan Katha, Ram Yajna and India's 75th Republic Day celebration to commerate the historic inauguration and consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
